The mission of the Embroiderers' Guild of America is to inspire passion for the needle arts through education and the celebration of its heritage. Our purpose is to practice, share, and learn the art of embroidery. We have an active program of education and study with a goal of preserving the heritage of the art.
The Green Bay Area Chapter is the place for you to form friendships with people who also love embroidery and will support you in your needle work projects. Membership is a great way for you to learn new techniques and improve the ones you already have.
NOTE: Starting in August 2021 our meetings will be in person.
First Wednesday 9am - Noon.
The first Wednesday of each month come and work on anything you want. Ashwaubenon Community Center, 900 Anderson Dr., Green Bay. All welcome. Yes, we are meeting in person so come and join us. There is enough space to be social distance.
Learning different stitches
A few of us in the group are doing Take A Stitch Tuesday (TAST). Each week you receive an email with a new beginner stitch and a little more advanced stitch. To sign up go to www.pintangle.com. On the right hand side you'll see the area to sign up to receive the emails. On the home page you'll also see each week's stitch so you go just go to the page. There is not any specific project, so you can do your stitches on anything; a crazy quilt, a scrap piece of fabric, a project you are working on, etc. There is also a Facebook group you can join if you like social media. Hope you have fun with it.
