The mission of the Embroiderers' Guild of America is to inspire passion for the needle arts through education and the celebration of its heritage. Our purpose is to practice, share, and learn the art of embroidery. We have an active program of education and study with a goal of preserving the heritage of the art.
The Green Bay Area Chapter is the place for you to form friendships with people who also love embroidery and will support you in your needle work projects. Membership is a great way for you to learn new techniques and improve the ones you already have.
Wisconsin State Days 2024 with Dawn Donnelly
Green Bay Area EGA is excited to be hosting Wisconsin State Days. Dawn Donnelly will be the workshop instructor. We will be doing her new project Snow Drifted Pathways a multi-media project with canvas work, surface embroidery stitching, and handmade paper.
Inspired by the snowdrifts in Michigan, Snow Drifted Pathways takes the student into a winter wonderland. The focal point is a snowy path cut from handmade paper and is attached to the canvas using butterfly chain stitch. Each student's storm will reflect some of their own perspective
since they will be creating their own exploding snowballs, snow logs and a cyclone from wet handmade paper.
